Dhoni did his studies at DAV Jawahar Vidya Mandir, Shyamali, where he firstly outshined in badminton and football and was chosen at district and club level in these sports. He started concentrating on cricket after completing matriculation.
He is a big fan of motor bikes. He owns over 23 bikes. He is the promoter of 15 products from clothes to cold Drinks. He is also one of the top tax payees during the year 2010. Dhoni is a big buff of Adam Gilchrist, and his early days idols comprise cricket colleague Sachin Tendulkar, Bollywood celeb Amitabh Bachchan and ace singer Lata Mangeshkar. Dhoni is not interested in English songs and exercising at gymnasiums. His special qualities comprise positive thinking and deep confidence. Dhoni is married to his long time girlfriend, Sakshi. He tied the knot on 4 July 2010. The wedding ceremony puzzled the media and the buffs as it happened only a day after the pair got engaged.
